Andrew Thompson, a Miami native and Tallahassee resident, is the proud founder and visionary of J.I.V.E. (Jubilant In Various Expressions). J.I.V.E.’s mission is to use gospel music as a vehicle to prevent suicide and provide mental health aide for relevant issues facing various demographics. As a middle school educator and community leader, Andrew has witnessed many youth and young adults receive assistance and support to cope with mental health challenges and combat suicidal thoughts. As a young man who dealt with suicidal ideation, he believes that therapy through music can be combined with professional mental health counseling. Andrew’s goal is for everyone who hears J.I.V.E.’s unique gospel sound to experience freedom and liberty in their own way.
